Garage floor recoat and refresh that restores a dull, scuffed or lightly worn coated floor with cleaning, screening and a fresh clear topcoat.
Even a great floor dulls with time. Traffic scuffs the gloss, wheels leave marks and years of cleaning wear the top layer. If the coating beneath is sound, a refresh can bring the shine back without a full redo. We clean the floor, lightly abrade the surface, repair chips and apply a new clear topcoat. Nashville garages with big windows and heavy use often benefit most, because sun and traffic age the top layer first.
We start by checking the bond of the existing coating and looking for chips, peeling or yellowing. If the coating is sound, we deep clean and degrease it, scuff the surface with a screening pad or fine abrasive and apply a new clear coat, with fresh flake only if needed. If we find failing areas, we repair them or remove and rebuild them before the refresh. We are honest about what a refresh can do: it restores gloss and protection, but it does not hide cracks or fix a floor that is peeling because of moisture.
We test that the old coating is holding.
Grease and film are removed before coating.
A new topcoat restores gloss and protection.
A refresh cannot cure a failing, moist floor.
